Wednesday, the community lost Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Lt. Erik Lloyd. His wife Minddie is the judicial executive assistant to District Court Judge William Kephart. Erik is the father of a beautiful family: two daughters and five grandchildren. Among other professional responsibilities he managed the line-of-duty injury program for Metro. He is remembered as someone was committed to services and who was always there to help others. His loss hits home and leaves a void in our community.

“We in the court are deeply saddened at the loss of Lt. Erik Lloyd who is the husband of our own court employee Minddie Lloyd. We mourn the loss of Lt. Lloyd, a father, grandfather and a committed community servant, whose legacy of helping officers injured or killed in the line of duty and their families is lasting. The passing of Lt. Lloyd after his valiant battle with coronavirus is a great loss to our community. Our deepest condolences go out to Minddie, their family and all his loved ones who are mourning.”
