Welcome to the Las Vegas Township Justice Court. We hope the information shown here is helpful and will make your contact with court easier and more productive. By browsing through our website, you will find directions to where the court is located, office hours, what documents are needed, and what court procedures to follow. All information is intended to assist you in making the best use of your access to justice.
Effective July 6, 2010, all cases that are presently assigned to Department 12 (Judge Diana L. Sullivan) will be reassigned to Department 2 (Judge Joseph S. Sciscento) and all cases that are presently assigned to Department 2 will be reassigned to Department 12. Any hearings that are scheduled to occur on or after July 6, 2010 will take place at their scheduled dates and times but such hearings will be held in the location of the Department to which the cases have been reassigned (i.e. Courtroom 1B for Department 2 or Courtroom 8D for Department 12). |
Location and Hours
The court is located in the Regional Justice Center, 200 Lewis Avenue, in Downtown Las Vegas. Court services are available Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays. Traffic schools are operated Saturday. The Traffic Court provides services Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays. In addition, traffic tickets are processed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the internet and by calling (702) 671-3444. The phone system is available in both English and Spanish.
The Justice Court Traffic Office and courtroom is on the 1st Floor, and the Justice Court Clerk's Criminal Records, Civil Customer Service and Clerk staff, and Small Claim Office are on the 2nd floor of the Justice Center. Justice Court Court Rooms are located on the 6th, 7th and 8th floors.
Parking
Parking is generally not available in front of the Regional Justice Center. Public parking is available south of the building at the corner of Clark and Third Street, one block south. Parking for the disabled is available in this parking lot and in front of the building on Third Street between Lewis and Clark Avenues.

Consider and Approve Amendments to Local Rules
The Las Vegas Justice Court has petitioned the Supreme Court to open an administrative docket to consider and approve amendments to its local rules of practice. After the Supreme Court places this matter on their administrative docket, public comment will be allowed. The proposed changes to the local rules is available by clicking here.
Notice Regarding Telephonic Appearance Procedures In Civil Matters In The Las Vegas Justice Court
Pursuant to Part IX of the Nevada Supreme Court Rules, parties to civil proceedings in the Las Vegas Justice Court may appear in court by telephone in certain matters. This notice addresses the steps that must be taken to schedule such appearances and are in addition to the requirements of the Supreme Court Rules.
