On behalf of the judges of the Las Vegas Justice Court, I would like to welcome you to the Clark County Courts website. Las Vegas Justice Court handles approximately 492,000 cases each year. In the criminal division, our judges preside over felony preliminary hearings and misdemeanor trials. In the civil division, landlord/tenant disputes, small claims, and civil matters up to $10,000 are heard. Finally, the traffic division handles more than 200,000 traffic citations per year.

Our judges work very hard to manage one of the largest caseloads in the country. Because Las Vegas Justice Court is such a busy court, we are dedicated to utilizing the most current technology and developing new processes to provide the highest quality of service to the community. Las Vegas Justice Court has many programs such as the Neighborhood Justice Center that provide fair access to the court for all members of the community.

Welcome to the Eighth Judicial District Court of Clark County , the largest general jurisdiction court in Nevada. The District Court serves more than 2.1 million citizens. Forty-three judges preside over more than 96,000 cases that are filed each year in this court.
