Civil Law Self-Help Center (CLSHC) Legal Resources
The Civil Law Self-Help Center (CLSHC) is not a substitute for legal advice. Because legal disputes can often have a long-lasting financial impact, it may be advisable to speak to an attorney before taking any measures that cannot be undone.
Although you may not believe that you can afford an attorney, there are many attorneys who are willing to offer a free or reduced-fee consultation. Many attorneys also offer “unbundled” services, meaning that they may be willing to review court papers, represent you in a particular hearing, etc . When you first meet with a lawyer, you should talk about their fees, and put any fee agreement in writing. The Civil Law Self-Help Center is located at 200 Lewis Avenue, in Downtown Las Vegas and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Find a Lawyer
While the Civil Law Self-Help Center is prohibited from referring you to any particular attorney or law firm, you may be able to find a lawyer who practices in the area in which you need help by getting referrals from friends, looking in the yellow pages, or by using these other resources:
